Painted Quartzy

Gender: Mare
Date of Birth: 10/08/2015
Registration number: AS15/130 A

Description:

A 16 hand elegant Arab type sport horse filly with big extravagant movement and ultra-correct conformation, bold top line and loads of presence. Quartzy is easy to handle in new environments and a proven show horse. She is by the well-known up to date dressage champion, Compton house Quantico ridden by Catherine Berning, out of a foundation bred refined type appaloosa mare. Quartzy placed first at her very first show which consisted out of a large all breed class where they were specifically judged for sport horse potential. The horses in the class are all well-known names and the local judge/breeder/rider and trainer, Jaco Fourie, commented on her handle ability, scope and elegance.

Sire:

Compton house Quantico; A 17hand liver chestnut Hanoverian with white markings. Licensed as a warmblood breeding stallion and competing at high level dressage with the Bernings. This stallion is an elegant young boy by the well-known Quaterback out of a state premium Salieri mare. Some of the best breeding in the world! This stallion’s foals sell to the up-market with a selective mare policy. We were very fortunate to obtain this covering and produce a filly!

Dam:

Black Forest Misty; A 15.2 hand few spot mare by Maluti Toby’s White Eagle  whom is by Maluti Toby’s Fourspot (direct Toby’s Apache). A very good combination of foundation appaloosa breeding lines which provides a solid sensible mind.

Future plans:

Painted Quartzy will be retained for training and breeding. She will be put to our resident stallion, Painted Waps Last Image. This foal, due September 2019, will be a great combination of lineage to produce an elegant big sport horse type appaloosa with bold colour. Will be kept by stud to grow and back will then be available to a competent rider.
