Appaloosa sport horse foals

Finally our foals are all here safe and sound on the ground!
See more pics of our foals on the gallery pages, scroll down.

1. Painted Absolute

We knew that this foal would be special, but she has exceeded all our expectations. We chose the name, Absolute, meaning "perfect in quality" because that is what she resembles. This filly is not only a "wow" foal to look at, but offers exceptional qualities, both pedigree and conformation wise, as a next champion dressage/showing horse. She has the most elegant face with good bone, very nice natural topline and those expressive white markings. She has 3 excellent paces and shows it! Absolute is also a very affectionate foal that will come to you and leave the herd behind if she spots a human. She is well bred by the imported German Hanoverian stallion, Welt Eiger-see the reference sire pages, that is by world renowned dressage sire Welt Meyer in combination with a Eiger I mare. She also offers some solid appaloosa lineage that includes Dolls Toby, one of the top producers of all time.

2. Painted Limelight

Our second Welt Eiger baby has arrived and what a stunner. She is ideal type of sport horse we have ever wanted to breed. She is very VERY tall and should mature at 16.3hands+, however height is not all she has to offer. Exceptional bone, perfect legs, devine top line and 3 excellent paces with a temperament to match. Of course the colour was a huge bonus! She is bright bay with 4 socks, big blaze and a white blanky. Her name says it all! She is by Welt Eiger (Imp Hannoverian by Welt Meyer out of a Eiger I mare) out of Foreign Affair. A super palomino snowcap mare with exceptional height that also produced Liaison, Rock Affair and Foreign Helios.

Sorry Sold!

Limelight @ 4 months of age, a giant of a foal!

3. Painted Welt Master

Finally our first Welt Eiger baby is on the ground for this breeding season. A black colt with expressive facial markings and incredible bone with very good height! Welt Master is a confident young boy with LOTS of character. He is very inquisitive and likes to draw attention. He will be a good size with very good movement! He is also very well bred by Welt Eiger (Imported Hannoverian by Welt Meyer out of a Eiger I mare) out of Pure Image that is one of our first homebred fillies. A stunning black leopard mare with equisite movement and presence! Welt Master (Welty) will mature to be 16hands+. Also full brother to Painted Bella (see 2010 foal page).

4. Painted Grand Finale

Granella and Rocky produced the most stunning foal, AGAIN, showing that this combination is definitely a working one! She is out of this world, with exceptionally straight and good conformation from day one. The bone is also very good on this foal with very nice features. She is also very well marked with pitch black base colour and a clearly spotted blanket. She will make a super jumping prospect being out of exceptional jumping lines. She is out of our pitch black Hanoverian mare, Granella, out of Sing Song (Swiss Imp) by Gran Fernando (German Imp), by Executive Rock (French Imp). She will be registered as a appaloosa sport horse with very good size and will be available for a serious competition prospect when of age.

5. Painted Summer Rocks

This very special young colt is an absolute masterpiece. He is the result of impeccable Trakehner breeding lines with some of the best appaloosa lineage in the country. He is out of Painted Summer Rain, a 16hand +mare by Executive Rock (French imp). He will be a definite stud prospect with the ability to be a spectacular riding prospect.

Congrats to Mercia and Anthony of the Xubeshonge stud with their  future stud stallion.

6. Painted Sandy

Sandy was named after our vet that delivered this special baby after her dam suffered from West Nile Virus. Unfortunately we lost the dam, but Sandy is as healthy as can be full of energy. Truly a miracle in every sense. She is a very refined appaloosa sport horse with incredibly good conformation and pretty face. Very good top line and will make an exceptional show or dressage horse. She is a very nice chestnut with dark eye liner and white markings. She also has a lace spotted blanket on her hind quarter that will become more prominent with age. She is also very well bred out of Mendunsa Mayfair, an inspected warmblood mare with a premium for movement, by Executive Rock (French Imp).

7.  Painted Welt a good boy

Photos at 3 weeks of age

We took some time to decide on a name for this little guy, but soon it became obvious what a good boy he is. Walking so perfectly on the halter and always level headed for such a young foal! Again the combination of good quality foundation appaloosa lines with some proven Hanoverian lines has proven to be a winning recipe. The best of both worlds have been combined in this colt with height, athletic build, uphil movement with 3 excellent paces from the warmblood side and the hardy, good feet, temperament from the appaloosa side. What more could you ask for as a sporting prospect? His bloodlines include the well known German dressage sire of the decade, Welt Meyer in combination with Eiger I and on the appaloosa side international sire lines; Quadroon, Dolls Toby and Chipperfields Spot.
This colt should mature at a min height of 16hands and a max of 16.1hands. He will be registered as a appaloosa sport horse with SA Studbook and the AHBSSA. Sorry Sold!
